April Boy Regino cries as he expressed gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte for helping him, especially now that he is already blind.

“Wala na po akong ganang kumanta. Simula po nung nabulag ako eh, para bang nawalan na ako ng pag-asa sa buhay ko, nawalan na ako ng ganang mabuhay, kaya hindi ko na inisip na kakanta pa uli ako,” 

“Sabi niya po, ‘Bakit di mo sinabi sakin na nabulag ka?’ Sabi ko ‘Pasensya na po kayo wala na po ako sa isip ko e, di ko na po alam gagawin ko.”

The president said that he is in solidarity with the people’s call against all excesses and shortcomings of the government, and with the people’s desire to uphold the highest standards of integrity, efficiency and accountability in government:

Those that rallied in Plaza Miranda got a taste of kindness when Duterte's Kitchen, a small eatery in Cubao that opened last December to serve free food to street children, rallied up four trucks to serve free lugaw to the rally participants.
